I have written to senators and representatives and still have no solid answer or explanation for my issue.  My children's father has been to Iraq for over a year, returned home and is expected to be deployed to Iraq for a second tour again soon.  Since my children live in out-state Minnesota (not in a metro area), they have virtually worthless health insurance coverage thru the military.  When we lived in a metro area they had virtually everything 100% covered.  His 2 children who do live with him on base are covered 100%.  I guess my question is why the coverage is different depending on where the children live - their father is the same man getting shot at to defend our country regardless!  Why does this country not provide his children with appropriate health care coverage when it is no fault of their own where they live?  Their dad is still getting shot at and risking his life...for what?  For a country who will cheat his children out of healthcare coverage?  But, if a recruiter who is signing up guys to go get shot and killed lives in out-state MN - THEY can get PRIME coverage?  But for the man who is actually getting shot at - HIS children have to go without???  This country is messed up!  Can someone please explain this B.S. to me?  Or better yet, would someone who is in the VETS corner please fix this B.S.?

There is one way, that is to change your last names to something that end with "chez or gez" and act like you don't speak english. Then it's all free!!

The military insurance has always been this way even for full time navy. It is champus and how it operates. If their is not a military hospital near you or a company that honors
Champus or Tri-care it is the same as my insurance through work. If they are not a VSP provider you pay more. My brother is a retired Senior Chief and doesn't carry the life insurance now that he is retired because he can get a cheaper plan then the one the goverment offers at 700 a month for his family. Good luck finding any dentist in the state that will accept the programs offered by Minnesota care either. I sympathize with you but do you realize Veterans no longer get FREE health CARE at the VETS HOSPITALS and clinics? These people signed government contracts and now are being told they have to pay for this benefit. Many were veterans of Vietnam and Korea
