I had my stimulus check deposited in my account today......yeah! I didn't major in math and would not pretend to be a numbers whiz....According to my calculations.....married with two kids, we should have gotten a cool $1800. To my suprise, we didn't get the full amount I expected. A deposit of $1500 was placed in our account with a statement of 1 eligible dependent. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not marching to the IRS complaining about money that I will eventually pay back...(there is no such thing as free), but I do wonder when the rebate is based on your 2007 tax return how such a blatant error could be made. Upon review of our taxes, sure enough....married status...2 deps is was what was filed.

Could it be that someone received an extra $300 for one of my kids? Is it possible that the IRS is capable of a mistake? Has my 10 year old moved out of the house and is no longer eligible to be a dependent under IRS guidelines?

Stay tuned for the next exciting episode of "Right Guy.....Wrong Amount".....

(In the meantime, please feel free to share any stimulusgate stories you may have)

Cheers,

Fox Webcast Guy

Gee, my stimulus check from the feds went to pay Moneysota state taxes! Oh well, I could have spent it at wal-mart or target but all that would do is help chinas economy.

and condoms and birth control pills and free vehicles to drive, not counting the free medicine, dental, education, clothes, shoes and our NOSE IN THEIR BUSINESS.

Then they have the audacity to stand on our capital steps and protest our involvement?

Go back to your war torn country and fight for your rights without us......permanently.

Right Guy.....Wrong Amount Part II

My I preface this by making a public appology to the IRS, the United States government and anyone else who my original post may have effected.

I had neglected to think about the possibility that I could have made a mistake on my taxes (gasp).... Ok, so the rest of the story as Paul Harvey says goes something like this.

I made a slight error on my federal taxes that didn't correctly have my daughter as an eligible dependent. So long story longer after correcting my taxes we have additional money coming (after I file an amended tax return).

The additional money from the stimulus rebate will have to wait until next year though. Guess I won't be able to do as much to help the economy out.

Fin,
