Hey Guys ...

With our lakes starting to freeze, here's a list of recommended minimum ice thicknesses from the DNR. Click for more info:(http://files.dnr.state.mn.us/education_safety/sa

These are rough guidelines for new clear ice only:

  • 2" or Less  - STAY OFF!
  • 4" - Ice Fishing
  • 5" - Snowmobile or ATV
  • 8" - 12" - Car
  • 12"+ - Small to Medium truck

Are there any ice fishing areas, that allow motor homes on the ice?
