Is he African or American

Obama is a black man.  I support the democratic side and am happy that he is the nominee.  However, it makes me cringe when they call him African/American.  Was he born in Africa or America?  I don't call myself, German, Norweigen, Russian/American.

One of our forefathers said that anyone that puts another country in front of America is not an American at all.    If you are a citizen of the United States then you are American.  PERIOD. Your heritage is important, but not as important as being an American.
