Why does Fox9 news spend a portion of the evening news talking about American Idol?  Is this a requirement of the parent media conglomerate?  I enjoy American Idol(the audition episodes), but I don't need the news to keep me updated on the progress.  I expect the local news to cover events/topics concerning Minnesota.  A television program like American Idol does not need advertising, especially from Minnesota local news.  It makes me so angry when Fox9 wraps up with dribble about a freaking television show, every night.  It's pathetic.

I believe it is inappropriate for a local news channel to advertise for a prime time television show.

I agree.....This is not a True News....but a mere fill-in......But it doese go to show you the power of Coca-cola and Ford! So go grab a pop and pick me up by the Metro YO!

American Idol


I believe that line of business/employment isn't recession proof.

Just don't ask who buys tickets to get in, but my calculation is probably nobody.

I am self-employed. I rent an apartment with my boyfriend. Usually appalled by Fox 9 news stories and going to use this as a platform to voice my opinion.
