In reading of the court cutbacks and financial issues in Minnesota, I do not understand why Minnesota would want to extradite a non-violent person in Texas who has been out of Minnesota for over a year and has turned her life around. My daughter moved to Minnesota around 2004. She chose to hook up with the wrong type of people and fell into doing drugs. During this time she committed two counts of forgery and one count of identity theft. She spent time in jail for these crimes. Her crime now is that she wanted a better life for herself and left Minnesota in early 2007. She was on probation at this time. So her crime now is that she violated probation. I am not minimizing her crimes but I don't understand how or why Minnesota would want to spend the money to extradite her. She has completely changed her whole life around. She is raising her two daughters, 14 and 8. She is engaged to a wonderful man and she has a lot of family support to keep her going in the right direction. I am pleading with the judicial system and Governor Pawlenty to not extradite my daughter.
