I am so glad that I'm not the only one who's sick of the over-protective legislation  intended supposedly to "protect" our kids. This IS the parents job. Kids do get skinned knees, broken bones occasionally, that's all part of testing your limits. Wrap them in bubble wrap, and when they have to enter the real world, it's instant mental collapse. We can only protect so much. Kids have to test their limits, it's what growing up is all about. Forcing "legislation" to do the job that belongs rightly to the parents, is ridiculous. Why not give up all our rights, and have the govt wrap us in bubble wrap also. Then who, if the need comes will lead this country but over-cossetted whining immature fools without a clue. We all need to see how high we can climb in that tree. Parents, guide your own kids, teach them responsibility, if you don't have the time, then don't HAVE them period

Child protection has been carried too far. Recalls are based on legal liability reasons. Nobody wants a finger pointed at them when a beautiful child dies. It makes for a sensational news story and a enormous lawsuit. Jurys and viewers need to understand that parenting is the parents job. Accidentts do happen and when they ultimately do sometimes there is nobody to blame.

I'm a older adult, who loves cats, and tolerates differences, just don't push them in my face. I'm into electronics, good books, music. Mainly Swing and classical and classic jazz, though I have been known to lend an ear to Elvis, and Buddy Holly:). I must admit that I'm an agnostic, extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof. And I require proof. My main specialty is computer circuitry. Mostly building and inspecting it, now I'm having the fun of using it, and learning more every day. From staring through a 20 power scope at a microscopic unit, to blogging. How 'bout that.
