WE really need help with ideas on how to make are schools safer. Please help us with ideas we can take to the school board. Many of us are students and have kids that are students and we would hate to repeat the Virginia Tech. incident. Please help!

Decrease the hassels of getting a CCW (permit to carry a concealed weapon). Train anyone & anyone who wants it, and then see if the threat still remains. Most criminals are dumber than a sack of hammers, but they are smart enough to know that a .357 or a 9mm makes one hell of a loud bang, and bullets hurt.

Teach the teachers conflict resolution skills. In modern society, the Police are in the schools on a constant basis (which I feel is too much). Allow the teachers to discipline the students so that they can control their classrooms.

I am a 5th grade teacher with students that are doing a project about school safety as a response to the Virginia Tech. shooting. We are looking for some feedback from citizens and people in the education feild.
