Good Lord. Whine whine whine..................didn't get invited..........wanted to watch whatshisname..................should have been invited because of WHO HE IS?

Please. Check the ego at the door big man. Yes, you did great things. Notice the past-tense............it is now time for others to shine. You wanted to watch to see if your record was broken, well. See the next paragraph.

Sorry. But if the great man wanted to go, he should have gotten off his a$$ and gotten on a plane and gone. Period. End of story.

Course, then he would not have really made the news would he have?..........................so I guess this serves him rather well.

To have such problems in life!

In her dreams...............................

This is what is being spouted on one of the late night rag mag newsies. Course, what does one expect?

For me she blew it big time with her comment that her hubby running for prez is the first time she felt proud of her country as an adult. The chick aint that young to pull that comment off........

That aint a red flag???

Well, they will be out again in full force. And they aren't the docile group they claim to be either with a simple message to put out.  They come right by my apartment and one can easily hear "F" You many times over,  and see them flipping off drivers. Many of them have a major attitude towards anything and everything.

I aint anti-bike.

I am anti-BLEEPs with attitudes.

I ride a bike. Friends ride bikes. But most of us abide by traffic rules...........we don't dart in front of a car with no warning, we don't blow through stoplights that are RED to us, and then give a particular finger sign to the cars that have the GREEN light, the car that did not see us because we zoomed out of an alley or from somewhere unseen..... I also don't crash into someone getting off of a bus (crash into them from BEHIND) and THEN cuss at THEM either.

You want to be respected oh critical mass riders? Then follow the rules like the rest of us and stop acting the BLEEP role. (though you do it so well, I actually do believe you are probably really an BLEEP in all aspects of your life!!)

I will take juvenile skate boarders/bike riders any day! Every one of them that have come up behind me when I am out walking slows down, yells BEHIND YOU (without an attitude) and actually say thanks when I stand aside.

Respect warrants respect. I do understand that is over most of your heads................

Happy Spring all!!!

Obama now is justifying his small towns comment..............back pedal back pedal........

Sorry, just seems to me his true colors are beginning to show.

Again America, be very careful of what "change" you are voting for.................

I am sure this will get lost in blog land, and never be seen by the candidates. Oh well.

To the candidates and biggie newsies

I, and many other folk are weary of your bs. I don't care what you hate about the other candidates, or why you think they suck. I want to hear more concrete things about what YOU are going to do, want to do and what YOU believe, (and not some wishy-washy stupid answer, or "tell 'em what they want to hear BLEEP.)  Pipe dreams, I know.

I do not believe any of you have true integrity, grit or anything else at this point.

No, wait.

At this point, I dont care anymore. The coverage started way too soon. I, and again many others are burnt out on all of you. Just too much nothing.

Final note to voters

Please please remember, the president has just so much power. There are many other folks and many steps they have to go through. Remember this when they spout their claims.

okay, end of rant.

Property taxes are supposed to be based on home's value. So why then, is my Mum's home accessed at a LOWER value now, yet her (and others) property taxes continue to go up??

This is getting sickening. My Mum (again, and some others) flat out owns her home, it is payed for. Yet she could lose it because property taxes are insane.  Low and fixed income folks are screwed. Mum is on soc. sec. which is so not enough to cover basic living needs, and the taxes she gets socked with.

Someone needs to step in and look at this, just as closely as they are looking at the mortgage BLEEP. Someone who has long ago payed off their home should NOT be worried about losing it. But there are too many that are.

Shame shame shame shame on our state government. Hope you all choke on your sweet, insane benefits. Hope you sleep well at night. Hmmmmm. Sad thing is, you probably do.

Pawlenty, you are lame and so are all your cronies.

Fell asleep on the couch tonight, and about 11:30 or so was blasted back into reality by flashing lights from all directions and  a loud booming voice clearly demanding:  PERSON IN THE GRAY SUV PULL OVER AND STOP IMMEDIATELY......the warnings were numerous and included (apparently after idiot decided to finally stop, I don't know....once would have been enough for me) "THROW THE KEYS OUT THE WINDOW AND GET OUT OF THE CAR. Well, idiot used his minimum grey matter and did as he was told.  Then I, and most likely all of west Downtown Minneapolis heard WALK BACKWARDS SLOWLY THROUGH THE INTERSECTION......well as I was applying the defibrilator to my chest and thinking "come on idiot, do as they say, any shoot out will have me and a few of my neighbors directly in line of fire (down side of corner apts) and you most likely a dead idiot....... "I decided to look out, and lo and behold,  there were at least 7 cop cars, and several unmarked in my little intersection at W. 15th and Willow. And there was the idiot, backing up SLOWLY and probably with full pants..... After he was in custody, several cops, guns drawn, one with a rifle aimed and ready; went toward SUV as apparently idiot had stupid friend who was not being still (as one would reasonably expect one to do if one had any grey matter at all and was surrounded by a bunch of armed men..........) It did get resolved without any pitter patter of bullets hitting windows, neighbors or bodies of idiots or stupid friend. Idiot was taken away, stupid friend was let go, who was later heard blubbering (yes, crying, sort of) to some other stupid friend on phone. COME GET ME. Oh poor stupid friend. Make some better choices of friends or your new name just might become idiot 2, the sequel.

Okay, my question is this. Will the residents of Loring Park find out what was going on? Or will we once again not know what invaded our neighborhood? There have been numerous incidents in the last few years, one including a helicopter with search lights over the park, that just seemed to evaporate.....like it never happened. Perhaps it did not. Perhaps they were all a dream, including the woman who got stabbed a few summers ago. Perhaps this is a dream too....maybe I am still in my sleepy stupor. If not a dream, will the media report what happened? Or is it once again not big enough? Hmmm. Maybe if Brittany Spears was in the SUV............May not be big enough for all of you, but for us witnessing these things, we want to know even if (as in the stabbed gal, who did survive) it was a domestic spat. At least we will know there is not some lunatic out there. Well, that particular lunatic anyhow. You will tell us if there is a molester moving into neighborhood, but not some fiend wandering the park or neighborhood being searched for. Nice.

On the plus side, the police acted impeccably, and if above idiot or stupid friend shouts brutality or some such nonsence, there are probably at least 20 (most likely more, if they admit to looking. I know, I saw you in your windows!) people that witnessed this Law and Order episode unfold. Who needs TV in today's world?

One last thing. Keep those defibrilators on hand, may come in handy.....  Have a nice day!

You know, you surprise me. In this day and age of cell phones with cameras, cameras the size of postage stamps (well, almost,)  I am amazed that you are so brazen on the road. You flip me off because I am going too slow for you....yet I am going the speed limit, even a bit above at times. On the freeway, I am in the right lane, to leave room for all of you to zip by in the left lane. You flip me off because I let someone out of the little mall on Hennepin in the Uptown area, even though 25 feet away was the RED light. Yes, I know, I must have cost you at least 10 seconds off your precious time clock and kept you from continuing on for another 1/2 a foot before you would have had to stop anyhow. I am amazed because it is so easy to get you on camera, and very easy to zoom in on your license plate. Not hard to do when traffic is stopped or slowed to a trickle (other than you of course, because your life is so important.)

Chill out. Because I have no qualms about sending in your license plate, and know many others who are beginning to talk about doing the same. As I watched one of you impatients almost plow into a little girl who had the RIGHT OF WAY as you were making an illegal turn at a no- turn on red made me decide it is time I take action.

The state troopers don't get on the news EVERY YEAR telling people to slow down in rain/snow etc. just because they are on power trip. My guess is they are tired of seeing the slaughter that  can (and does) come from people who don't like to wait for anything.  Trust me, if you hit me, even a fender bender, you ain't going anywhere fast......

And the last thing you should know? Stop your stupid tail-gaiting. All that is going to succeed in doing is to make me go slower. When I can't see your head-lights or any part of them because you are an inch away from jumping car and all into my back seat, you just piss me off.

Stop using your cars as bullying weapons folks, it does not become you. (well, actually maybe it does) Trust me, you are just not that important, and things really will continue to go on even if you are late....and others just may live an un-maimed life if you slow down and relax. You might even avoid a heart-attack yourself.  If nothing else, remember those cameras......because once you pass me, click click click....plus, there are always the old fashion things called a pen and paper, and I have a great memory.

Just how many inches qualify for a snow emergency? Does it depend on type of snow? Just curious, but yes I really want to know!

Dear Deputy Lopez,

You don't know me, and we will probably never meet. You may never even read this. Just the same, in case you do, I want you to know how truly sorry I am for your unbelievable loss.

I am sorry that an idiot, (and I don't care how old she is) decided to make poor choices all in the name of a night out and good fun which in turn changed you and your family's life forever.

I am sorry that you were doing your job of protecting and serving, and just trying to spend some time with your beloved wife.

I am sorry that despite all the programs, publicity and warnings, that idiots on the road seem to prevail and still decide that they can loop themselves out and still drive.

I am sorry that same idiots usually get barely slapped hands and will have a slew of people that feel sorry for them. Not me. Well, someone may say.....fill in the blank....will have to live with this....well duh, and well they should. Poor choices have consequences, unfortunately not as harsh as the one you and your family have to live with, and not by choice either.

for all this  I am so very sorry.

Godbless you and your family Deputy Lopez

First, let me say of course there are exceptions...(few acceptable ones) I have lived near Loring Park for many years. Each winter, for each snow emergency, I watch people get towed....then whine about how unfair it was....Hello people. You live in MN. If it starts to snow substantially, pay attention. The city makes it unbelievably easy to find out where to park. Is it a hassle to move the car? Sure. However, I for one take it with a grain of salt. I want those emergency vehicles to be able to get by. For the gal who said she left town for Christmas. Well honey, you don't just leave your car on the street when you leave town without having someone in charge of it. One, you don't know what the weather will be like....Two, there is a 72 hour min. regardless of time of year or permit one might have.     There are too many options available for so many to claim ignorance. City web-site, 348-snow, 311,  automatic phone alerts, automatic email alerts, news media, people you know, etc. Like I said, if it starts snowing, start paying attention!  And for those of you who get towed more than once (and are not in hospital...) you deserve to be towed even more......I say kudos to the city. If people would stop and think how many streets we have, they might realize the magnitude of the job the city has. Help them out, move your cars!!!  Just think, it may be your family or friend who needs those emergency vehicles.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Love the snow. Love downtown, particularly during holidays. Hate tail-gaters and people who believe they are just too good to wait for anything, even if not waiting endangers everyone around them....
