Extension of Unemployment Benefits

H.R.5749, this is the bill that has been passed by the House, but the White House is expected to Veto this Bill.  Since this President is a lame duck, so to speak, he doesn't care about stimulating the economy, I feel like the only thing he has ever been interested in and is still interested in, is protecting the Oil this country keeps paying for to middle east countries.  Oil is what keeps Texas alive and even more Oil men in this country.

We have lots of OIL in this country, in many different states that most people don't even realize, but our state legislators will not approve of the drilling of it, or the building of more refineries, so we don't have to ship oil overseas to to be refined, and then buy it back.

Can anyone give me one thing Bush has done for the United States, not himself, but for all of us?

There were 8.5 Million people who applied for Unemployment in May of this year.  We are expected to get jobs when so many jobs are being lost, but the government is doing nothing to help.  Someone please tell me what can we do?

Aha,someone else noticed. Getting un-employment in the first place is difficult enough. If you'r over 60 and receiving SS you're not eligible. Now, would I need to work if I didn't need the money? Who is going to pay my bills?
I can't expect my neighbor to, he just got laid off. Why should Bush give a damn about the voters, he's gotten all he wants, money, power. But definitely not the respect of his country. He's hated from sea to shining sea. I'm with you pal, any ideas?

They should tax the president and the oil tycoons for their mega-profits to pay for the higher number of unemployed. Their wallet gets fatter and businesses wallets get tighter trying to move their merchandise to sell it & have to lay off the workers. Make the problem causers pay for the problems they cause.

And why are my taxes going up and up every year to pay for things like bridges that someone in the government just kinda forgot to care enough to fix before everyone died in the river? And suddenly now after people are dead it is a big rush and needs a 2M bonus for finishing early??? Let the oil tycoons pay for that too.

Oil tycoons are the only one making money anymore - why is anyone else getting taxed at all??? I thought tax was income based? Cost of living increased. When I lost my job, my income was cut in half...where is that justice? This year I will have a record loss! But someone, I imagine I will OWE taxes once again!

I am going to school while unemployed, my benefits have expired, since the government says it takes about a year to get re-hired and they only give you benefits for 26 weeks, have to do anything I can to get another job.
